The deadline to submit abstracts for ATVB 2013 is January 25th. This meeting, which will take place May 1-3 in Lake Buena Vista, Fla, is organized in collaboration with the FGTB council, and is a great meeting for FGTB researchers who also have an interest in ATVB-related research. There are also some travel and young investigator awards available for early career researchers. The Functional Genomics Plenary Session this year already has some great speakers lined up, including John Stamatoyannapoulos, Dianna Milewicz, and FGTB's own Kiran Musunuru!

With the start of a new calendar year, we have some great plans for FGTB in 2013, centered right here on the Professional Online Network. Over the coming year, along with updating the PON with material of interest to FGTB researchers, we're planning to build resources aimed at newcomers who would like a little more FGTB in their life. We'd love to hear from you - what FGTB topics would you like to learn more about?
